Flower Pot Coasters

Don’t you just love it when design meets function?

That sentence just sums up how I feel the whole time I’m making this project.

I was first inspired to create this when I saw one of my fave creators post this:

@uyenthininhYou can search “coaster flower pot crochet” on the internet and there would be quite many free patterns to choose. Mine was inspired by the pattern of HyggeCrochetCo!♬ Elevator Music – Bohoman

And as instructed, I searched coaster flower pot crochet and the first to pop up was this pattern from Hygge Crochet Co.

I started by making the coasters.

For my version, I used these gorgeous red and orange indophil yarn for the flower. I went with white for the starting rounds and green acrylic yarn for connecting the white part to the flowers.

This results in seamless transition and gives the illusion of ‘leaves’ of the flowers.

I later realized that the pattern in the Hygge Crochet Co. website, the base of the project was a basket and not a pot. I really wanted mine to be a pot so I just did another Google search for flower pot crochet and stumbled upon this pattern from Sewrella.

I had previously made designs from Sewrella patterns, so I was very familiar with the way the pattern was written, and it was a breeze for me.

Anyways, here is how my flower pot coasters turned out!

I think it turned out really well. What do you think?

Let me know!
